Rosalie Gascoigne is a New Zealander who lived and worked in Australia, becoming one of our most iconic sculpture artists. We adore her journey as an artist from the ancient traditions of Japanese flower arranging ‘ikebana’ to the evolution of her incredible sculptures.
Rosalie’s first exhibition was at 57 years of age, teaching us all that creative expression is a journey that isn’t defined by age, person or place. We see a fellow spirit in Rosalie’s work -
The contrast and pattern, the recognition that the obscure is truly beautiful.
We hope you explore her work and discover, what we have, a true inspiration.

An extraordinary story of kindness.
A promise fulfilled, a dream realised.
It’s not every day you change a life.
But for our very own Production Coordinator Alyssa Carter and her partner Mike Smith,
they managed to change a community.
In 2011, through a string of surreal events, Alyssa and Mike became the first Westerners to ever visit the tiny town of Sitaung in Central Myanmar (Burma).
A community that had so little – no running water, no electricity, no toilets -
yet offered so much.
So ‘The For Good Foundation’ was born.
In 2014 they returned, to begin the process of building a school…
And build a school they did.

The International Trade Centre’s Ethical Fashion Initiative is a United Nations project, aiming to empower African women through one sustainable concept… ‘not charity. just work’.
By connecting the world’s most marginalised people to the international fashion industry, we can enable communities to thrive, promote gender equality and reduce extreme poverty.
For our fourth instalment, we have created a limited edition shopper & purse. The designs embrace the tribal elements that are central to the sass & bide aesthetic, hand beaded with the all important message… ‘LOVE MORE’.
Two small words that could change the world.

Leandra Medine of the Man Repeller learnt that Australia really does have the finest things to offer… vegemite, koala bears and the world’s best fashion.
Filmed in our James Street boutique in Brisbane, watch Leandra fall in love with our resort collection and talk us through her three favourite looks of the season (…in the typical Man Repeller way, of course!)

Art, resort, fashion… three of our favourite things.
In the spirit of all things Resort comes a James St collaboration with The Institute of Modern Art, an exhibition of emerging Queensland artists on display throughout select boutiques.
Visit our James St boutique this month to see the ‘Plastic Palms’ sculpture by Brisbane born Athena Thebus on display. A curious piece inspired by LA vibes and her driving force of ambition and optimism…
