Inspired by road trips of infamous duos Thelma and Louise, Sal and Dean and Mark and Daria, we’re taking a drive through California to the Joshua Tree National Park. It’s time to hit the road.
Just south of L.A. near Palm Springs, this weird and wonderful reserve encompasses almost 800,000 miles of unspoiled desert scenery. Wind through long, twisting roads of the Yucca Valley to discover gardens of cholla cacti, colossal rock formations and fan palm oases, or lie back and enjoy an outer-space experience with the desert’s exceptional views of a star-scattered night sky.
We’ve put together a playlist to get you excited for your adventure through the desert sands. Pick your partner in crime, pack your bags, turn up the volume and press play.
